Biography
Patty Kotero started her career in the late 70's with a tv appearence on the popular TV show CHIPS. She later went on to co-star in the gang movie "Heartbreaker". She also modeled and appeared on mexician TV.
Then in she got her big break when she starred in Prince`s huge movie "Purple Rain" in 1984. Patty replaced vanity after she left during pre production of the film. Prince renamed Patty Apollonia and recorded the album apollonia 6, they had a hit song "Sex Shooter". Prince and apollonia did a duet on the song "take me with you". Apollonia 6 had a hit song "Sex Shooter". After an disagreement about her carreer path. Apollonia left Prince and his managment. Prince told her she wold never make it without him. Apollonia went on to do the TV movie "Mystic Warrior". Prince asked Apollonia to star in the movie "Under the cherry moon" but she declined.
Apollonia moved on to star in the night-time soap "Falcon Crest" for a ten-week-guest-appearance (85-86). She played herself and was the love interest of lance (Lorenzo Lamas). She designed her outfits for the show.
In 1988 she released her debut album. The 2 singles "Since I fell for you" and "Mismatch" were 80s dance grooves. Apollonia starred in other movies, such as "Back To Back" with Bill Paxton and "Black Magic Woman" with Mark Hamill.
In the early 90`s Apolloina was offered a role in the movie "The Color Purple" but turned it down. She was off the market because of her marriage to actor Kevin Bernhardt (from "General Hospital"). In the mid 90s -2000 after her divorce from Bernhardt. Apollonia has appeared on TV shows "Sliders", "Air America" and the movie "Vampirates" and a exercise video "Go for it" Apollonia to released a spanish/english album in 1997 "Stay with me". Apollonia also host the show "Latin Beat" on BET Jazz channel. Carmen Electra and Apollonia are neighbors at a condo complex in Beverly Hills. They are now very good friends. In a recent interview apollonia revealed during her time off she went back to college and received her BA in filmmaking.
